PICKLEBALL -  the STORY

Seminole Lakes has a Pickleball Club. If you have seen people playing a strange game with

paddles and a yellow wiffleball on the courts down by the pool, that’s Pickleball. The club was

started by Don and Denise MacIsaac and Lori Kelke in December of 2020 with the hopes of

finding some other players in Seminole Lakes who shared an interest in getting outside and

swatting some balls around. We purchased some nets, set them up and the players came. In

less than 2 months, we had 30 Pickleball Club members.

PLAY TIME

Group Play is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 to 11 AM, Monday and Wednesday Night Lights from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Any members who want to play just show up. For players new to Pickleball, we provide instruction on rules and skills to play the game. New players can come 3 times for free so they can decide if this game is for them. We have spare paddles for you to borrow to try out the game.

Open Play is when club members can organize their own teams to play anytime outside of Group Play time.
